"I'm fine" Makes The Best Monster

This next picture I've made was rather interesting to draw. I really liked drawing it and liked the concept behind it, which I hope you got from the title of this post, anyhow, give it a chance will ya ;D
The copy on the top was made by watercolor pencils and the one on the bottom was that same copy modified with a drawing board.

Bits and pieces

Bits and pieces are the things we are made from.
We are sown together from shards of emotions,
beautiful, scary, unimaginable thoughts.
And all we wait for is for someone to break that all.
Until we give up the facade and fall.
And what we become is more than a monster, something stronger, something different than what was.

Speak

Hi there! Sorry for not posting in...well forever. It's pretty much classic me, I have all the time in the world and then BAM exam weeks hits and I'm filled with inspiration. I wonder why that is.
Anyhow, let's get to the point. The picture I have for you now is a drawing inspired by a book called Speak by Laurie Halse Andersen, (Geez I hope I spelled that correctly). It's...well I really don't want to spoil the book for those who haven't read it and for those who have...they probably know why this drawing fits the theme of my blog. The girl in the picture is the book's main character Melinda Sordino and I'll leave the rest for you guys to interpret.
The drawing was done with plain old pencils.
Hope you enjoy, Love Always, Alexandra!
